| Description | „...this train is shortened“, an announcement that you can hear often. Normally a 300 m long train runs as IR 13 at this time. Sometimes only a 200 m long one, but that's not a problem. But today was a surprise, and that on a Friday. A barely 55 m long GTW 2/8 from Thurbo as a replacement for a SBB FV-Dosto by Bombardier. People stormed the train without inhibitions. When it was jam-packed, the transfer passengers came from Zurich. This is not an accusation against SBB, but shows the mentality of people, corona measures or not. And the limited influence of the measures in special situations. In addition there are the provocations, protests and secret violations. Oddly enough, such rule violations do not affect the spread of the coronavirus. After a big parade in Einsiedeln, the numbers even fell. The problem does not seem to be the behavior of the population, but the rules and the calculations from which they are derived. And that is becoming increasingly a problem for the government. Switzerland, March 26, 2021. |
