Description
English: Sarcophagus with the myth of Prometheus, 3rd century, from Porta Aurelia, coll. Albani
Deutsch: Römischer Reliefsarkophag mit Darstellung des Prometheus-Mythos (Prometheussarkophag), um 290/300 (Andreae) oder Anfang 4. Jh. n. Chr. (Sichtermann), Rom, Museo Capitolino. – Abbildung aus einem Buch von 1899, siehe dazu den englischen Text.
Obwohl dies insgesamt kein frühchristlicher Sarkophag ist, sind auf der linken Schmalseite (unter anderem) Adam und Eva unter dem Baum der Erkenntnis dargestellt.
