[edit]Weather Map To Be Rushed To Airports By Teletype. Transmittal of weather maps over specially adapted teletypewriter machines, each of which is equipped with type symbols similar to those used in the weather maps, will be started in a few weeks by the aeronautics branch of the Department of Commerce working in conjunction with the Weather Bureau. A demonstration in the offices of the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co., in Washington yesterday proved the feasibility of the plan. Capt. F. G. Hinsburg, Chief Engineer, Airways Division, Department of Commerce, is shown with Miss Sarah Keefe, operator, at the teletypewriter.
