English: Copy of photograph of Sarah Buddle née Dixon (1813-1884), New Zealand missionary teacher, wife of Wesleyan missionary leader Rev Thomas Buddle and aunt of Wesleyan missionary George Brown. Mother of Mary Hannah Buddle Crump (1840-1894), William Dixon Buddle (b1842), Sarah Elizabeth Buddle Arthur (1843-1936), Thomas Buddle (1847-1918), Australia Jane Buddle Dellow (1848-1934), John Wesley Buddle (b1849), Joseph Foster Buddle (1852-1921), Amy Sophia Buddle Shannon (1854-1907), and Charles Frederick Buddle (1858-1929). She worked as a missionary teacher in Whāingaroa (Raglan), Porirua, Waipā, Te Kōpua before settling in Auckland.
