Found on 12 June 2014, Ipswich, Suffolk, UK (TM16644502) on a Rose bush in the back garden. Det. Paul Beuk (see www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=61509). No previous observations in East Suffolk on NBN Gateway. Paul Beuk pointed out that in this shot you can make out the characteristic shape of the female genitalia and the darkened tip of the fore femur which is also indicative of the species. |
