Bahasa Indonesia: Sapi sonok merupakan salah satu budaya dari madura, jawa timur indonesia. Sapi Sonok adalah kontes kecantikan sepasang sapi, budaya ini sudah ada sejak 50 tahun yang lalu.
Berbeda dengan Kerapan Sapi yang mengandalkan kecepatan sapi untuk berlari kencang di arena lapangan. Sepasang sapi betina yang ada di karnaval budaya lebih menonjolkan keindahan dan keserasian pasangan sapi. Dengan penuh hiasan di badan sapi seperti sepasang pengantin, kemudian berjalan berlenggak – lenggok mengikuti alunan musik tradisional dari Gong, Terompet dan Kenong. Setiap tahun selalu diadakan konten Sapi Sonok dengan mendatangkan sapi sapi terbaik dari seluruh wilayah Pulau Madura. Sapi juga menjadi identitas Pulau Madura yang sudah sangat terkenal dimana saja. Kontes Sapi Sonok ini hampir berbarengan dengan Kerapan Sapi yang rutin diselenggarakan. |
