English: Seen in Arrecife, Marina Lanzarote May 7th 2018: A replica of the Santa Maria, the ship with which Christopher Columbus set off from the Canary Islands for America in 1492. This replica of the Santa Maria is built like spanish boatbuilding from 500 years ago, all made of wood. With square sails, wooden fittings etc... The Santa Maria replica was on it's way across the Atlantic, it made previously stopover in Santa Cruz de La Palma and was now a week in the port of Arrecife.

Diese Nachbildung der Santa Maria ist nach spanischer Bootsbaukust von vor 500 Jahren gebaut, alles aus Holz. Mit Rahsegel, Holzbeschlägen etc... Der Santa Maria - Nachbau war auf dem Weg über den Atlantik, er machte zuvor in Santa Cruz de La Palma Zwischenhalt und lag jetzt eine Woche im Hafen von Arrecife. |
