Description
English: 😳 Had no idea such cult folk saint even existed. Rather than *morbid* as outsiders might consider this concept. Santa Muerte, Campeche, Mexico. The local tone somehow manages to be rather *cheerful* if not outright comical, not menacing at all… Comical is fine by me (Halloween! 🎃) but I don’t get how this folk spirituality is also taken very seriously here. Well, too bad this type of spirituality never resonates with me… Nuestra Señora de la Santa Muerte, “Our Lady of the Holy Death”
