| Description |
English: A late 17th century of the Virgin Mary as Santa Maria. The painting is set in multiple intricate frames, the inner enamel frames are turquoise with leaf motifs interspersed with deer, hare, and peacocks – the innermost one having gold and the intermediate one being silver gilded. These are surrounded by gold mango motifs set on a turquoise background in Mughal style and an outer Tarakasi-style frame with flowers and butterfly motifs – set in a spiral silver trim. |
