Description
English: Army Commando Santa Claus handing Christmas parcels to soldiers in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.

Spirits were raised in Camp Bastionwhen Santa Claus delivered parcels to troops from the 3rd Regiment the Royal Artillery (3 RHA).WO1 Scott Hawke, RSM dressed up as Santa Claus and surprised troops in 3 RHA having put the frighteners on them by asking them to meet him at a specified time to discuss a serious issue.

Moral was lifted as Santa appeared around the corner in a white pickup truck headed up by Rudolph and Santa’s helper, and parcels from friends and families back in the UK and Germany were dished out to the troops.
