Description
Italiano: Sepolcro della beata Beatrice Casati nel transetto della chiesa di Sant'Angelo a Milano. Beatrice, della nobile famiglia milanese dei Casati, fu moglie di Franchino Rusca, terzo Conte di Locarno. Rimasta vedova nel 1465, rimase a Locarno per alcuni anni per poi spostarsi a Milano nella casa del defunto coniuge e dove vestì l'abito del Terzo Ordine di S. Francesco. Morì nel 1490 in fama di santità e fu sepolta nella chiesa francescana di Sant'Angelo di Milano. (Nota tratta da Teatro araldico, vol. Nessi, Locarno 1854 https://archive.org/details/bub_gb_tecIWaEW6eUC/page/n15/mode/2up. Come si legge nell'epitaffio, il sepolcro marmoreo fu eretto nell'anno 1499 su volontà della figlia di Beatrice, Antonia Rusca. Al rifacimento della chiesa primitiva del 1552 il monumento venne spostato nella posizione che tuttora occupa.
