Español: L’església de Sant Cristòfol de Tavertet, inicialment composta per una sola nau romànica, amb dos arcs torals de reforçament i un absis decorat amb arcuacions cegues i lesenes, correspon segurament a l’esmentada el 1070. A la fi del segle XII o principi del XIII hom li afegí a l’extrem de ponent una torre campanar, que s’uneix per un pont a la rectoria, i al principi del XVII, una segona nau a la banda de tramuntana, unida a la primitiva per grans arcs i coberta amb voltes d’ogiva. Un segle més tard fou feta la sagristia i un altar o capella a migdia. L’absis que havia estat sobrealçat, i l’aparell romànic, han estat restaurats. Conserva una antiga i valuosa imatge gòtica d’alabastre de Santa Maria, dita antigament la Verge del Cor, datada al principi del segle XV.
El poble de Tavertet s’ha convertit en un centre d’interès turístic, tant per la vegetació i els paisatges que l’envolten com pel seu interès històric i arquitectònic. S'hi pot visitar el Museu de Tavertet on es guarden restes arqueològiques i peces antigues de valor etnològic. Les principals festes que se celebren al poble de Tavertet són els Goigs del Roser i la Rifa dels Ous, per Pasqua, la festa major el darrer diumenge del mes d’agost i l’aplec a l’ermita de Sant Miquel de Sorerols el segon diumenge de setembre, celebració iniciada el 1975.
