f this form was constructed in 1846,and erected in the yard of the Sewers Office, GreekStreet, Soho, from designs of Mr. John Phillips, C.E.The urinal had vertical slate divisions and slopingslates fitted between the divisions, with projecting lipsfor the persons using the urinal, so as to prevent anydripping on the floor. Trough urinal. Fig. 15 is a section of a very old form of urinal,consisting simply of a cast-iron trough which passesthrough a range of stalls. This form has been super-seded by the form shown in Fig. 16. stall urinal. Fig. 16 and 16a represent the elevation and section of a stall urinal, as very generally adopted at railwaystations. The fender-piece F is intended to preventthe splashing which takes place in some other forms ofurinal when used. This fender-piece does not reachthe floor.
