Description
English: Sango Bay The rock stacks on the beach are of what was possibly Lewisian gneiss, but has been extensively deformed by movements during the Moine thrusting. They have been sheared to form bands of shell-shaped quartz, from which the rock has been nicknamed 'Oystershell Rock'. The cliff in the background is the Sangobeg Fault.
