Description
Deutsch: Man blickt vom Westen der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge (etwa beim Haus am Meer) Richtung Nordosten auf die Nordsee. Man erkennt im Vordergrund eine Buhne. Im Hintergrund sieht man fernab vom Strand Brandung. Dort verläuft eine unerseeische Sandbank, ein Sandriff.

Wenn Wasserwellen von tiefen in flache Bereiche kommen, werden sie langsamer und höher. Ab einem bestimmten Punkt brechen sie sich dann, was man an den weißen Schaumkronen erkennt. Wo man das Wellenbrechen flächig ausgedehnt und abseits des Ufers oder Strandes sieht, kann man ein Sandriff vermuten.

Das dort, vor der Insel Wangerooge, tatsächlich Sandriffe verlaufen kann man gut auf Luftaufnahmen erkennen.
