Description

Adult Sandhill Crane, Grus c. canadensis.

I went to the Reifel bird sanctuary (Delta, British Columbia) for the first time today. I saw thousands of snow geese and a few other types of birds. The hummingbird was elusive, but I will catch one next time I go. My main purpose was to see the Sandhill Cranes. Lucky me that there were 2 and I could get within inches of them. I hear they can be aggressive birds, but I didn't witness that.
