English: Half length photographic portrait of First Lieutenant Sandford C. Faulkner, Artillery, military storekeeper at Little Rock arsenal, Arkansas. Lieutenant Faulkner is wearing a double-breasted frock-coat of gray cloth, known as cadet gray, with facings of red and two rows of gilt brass buttons, seven in each row. On the front part of the collar, the rank of first lieutenant is indicated by two, gold embroidered, horizontal bars. The coat is buttoned and hooked at the collar. |
