| Description |
English: Here, “Zeus”, an East Lancs Myllennium Lowlander bodied VDL DB250 which was originally with Bus Vannin on the Isle of Man, is about to descend towards Hunworth. The use of a double decker on this route isn’t *shocking*, but it’s the first day it’s happened this year. I think this will continue from Holt to North Walsham on service 5, which for a while last year would have been impossible thanks to low hanging trees between Upper Sheringham and Sheringham.
It occurred to me that naming buses after mythical figures is safer than naming them after real people who could become disgraced. But it turns out that Zeus is said to have transformed into a bull and raped a princess. Like a pound shop David Sedaris, while I waited here I filled a plastic bag with some of the rubbish littering the scene. There was still almost another bagful that I didn’t get to, some of which you might be able to see. |
