Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sand Pit SW of Ellesmere Shropshire. Sand and gravel pit - may well produce sand from the solid geology of the local New Red Sandstone. However the area is one of glacial moraine (the Woore moraine), and there are nearby kettle holes such as Cole Mere - thus they may be fluvo-glacial deposits. Used out pits used for fishing.
