English: Sand Boat "Eskdale" approaching Castleford Junction The bridge takes the A656 north to the M1 at Garforth.
The crewman on the bows of Eskdale will keep a lookout at the junction ahead, this is a very tight turn. At the time this photo was taken they were probably heading to Leeds for unloading. Since then a new wharf has been built near Allerton Bywater. |
