Description
Deutsch: Inmitten des jemenitischen Hochlandes auf 2200 m Höhe , schmiegt sich die Stadt in die Senke, die im Osten vom Jabal Nuqum, im Westen vom mehr als 3000 Metern hohen Jabal Ayban begrenzt wird.

Sanaa ist eine bezaubernde Stadt zwischen orientalischem Märchen und dem 21. Jahrhundert.

Arabische Städte habe eine Gemeinsamkeit: Die Menschen leben in drangvoller Enge, die für einige Besucher aus Europa häufig als sehr anstrengend empfunden wird. Doch die Enge hat ihren Grund. Umgeben von der feindlichen Wüste, siedeln sich die Menschen seit jeher dort an, wo Wasser am nächsten und leichtesten verfügbar ist. Inzwischen wurden in Sanaa zahlreiche neue Wasserquellen erschlossen.
