Description
Español: El Hospital San Vicente de Paul, también conocido como Lazareto de San Vicente de Paul, fue el primer Hospital Clínico de la Universidad de Chile, y estaba situado en el mismo lugar de la actual Escuela de la Medicina, en la manzana comprendida entre las actuales calles Profesor Zañartu por el norte, Santos Dumont hacia el sur, Avenida Independencia por el poniente y Avenida La Paz hacia el oriente, en la comuna de Independencia, en Santiago de Chile.
  • Ubicado al interior del recinto perteneciente al actual Hospital Clínico José Joaquín Aguirre, Campus Norte de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Chile, en calle Santos Dumont 991 (aunque a veces se da la dirección del Hospital Clínico, que está a la altura del 999 de la misma calle), se encuentra la capilla del antiguo Lazareto, que fue declarada Monumento Histórico Nacional el 12 de enero de 1981, bajo el Decreto Supremo Nº 73.1 La capilla es una de las pocas estructuras sobrevivientes del ex Hospital.
