English: Karst spring of 2km long river Timavo (slov.: Timava) near Golfo di Panzano at San Giovanni di Duino. In Slovenia river Reka submerges in a gigantic Ponor of Škocjan Caves and emerges after ca. 38km as "Foce del Timavo". After 2km it flows into a kanal of Monfalcone harbour (region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia).
Deutsch: Mächtige Karstquelle Foce del Timavo und nur 2km langer Fluss bis zu Hafenkanal von Monfalcone, Region Friaul-JulischVenetien. Austritt des Flusses Reka, der im Karst Slowenien's ein gewaltiges Höhlensystem schuf (UNESCO Weltkultur- und Naturerbe Škocjan-Höhlen). Nach ca. 50km Einzugsgebiet über undurchlässigem Flysch legt er unterirrdisch die 38km im Kalkgestein des Kras bis zur Timavo-Quelle zurück.
