English: Church of San Vicente in Barrio de la Puebla de San Vicente de Becerril del Carpio (Palencia, Castile and León) declared of cultural interest 05 November 1992. It's a Romanesque church with semicircular plant, built in the 11th century and restored in the 12th century. He was a church of a Benedictine monastery belonged to Elizabeth, wife of Alfonso VI ceded it to the Cluniac Oña in 1103. In the document containing the transfer of the monastery of San Vicente to Oña Benedictine 1103, appears Becerril as a kernel with their own. In 1187 Alfonso VIII gave inheritances in Becerril de Oña monastery obtaining change the transfer of the right and belongings of the village of San Felices, in the province of Burgos. In the book 1351-52 calf, Becerril appears as belonging to the monastery of Santa Maria e San Andrés province. In plant us cone a single oriented rectangular nave from East to West, with cover, semicircular apse of access in the gable - García Guinea considers the position of the cover is a variant of the rectangular nave churches. Attached to the south wall is the rectangular body the sacristy and next to it, in the presbytery, the truncated spiral staircase angle.
Español: Iglesia San Vicente en el Barrio de la Puebla de San Vicente de Becerril del Carpio (Palencia, Castile and León) Declarada como Bien de Interés Cultural el 05 de Noviembre de 1992. Se trata de una Iglesia románica, con planta semicircular, edificada a principios del siglo XI, y restaurada en el siglo XII. Fue iglesia de un monasterio benedictino que pertenecía a Isabel, esposa de Alfonso VI que lo cedió a los cluniacenses de Oña en 1103. En 1103 en el documento que recoge la cesión del Monasterio de San Vicente a los benedictinos de Oña, aparece Becerril como un núcleo con entidad propia. En 1187 Alfonso VIII dio heredades en Becerril al Monasterio de Oña obteniendo a cambio la cesión de todo el derecho y pertenencias de la villa de San Felices, en la provincia de Burgos. En el libro Becerro de 1351-52, Becerril aparece como lugar solariego perteneciente al Monasterio de Santa María y San Andrés. En planta se nos presenta cono una única nave rectangular orientada de Este a Oeste, con ábside semicircular y portada de acceso en el hastial -García Guinea considera que la posición de la portada es una variante de las iglesias de nave rectangular-. Adosado al muro sur está el cuerpo rectangular de la sacristía y junto a él, en el ángulo que forma el presbiterio, la escalera de caracol truncada. |
