English: Same site, changing energy source. The Gas Terminal run by BHP Billington processing natural gas from Morecambe Bay gasfields. There is a 24 inch pipeline from here to the gas fired power station at Connahs Quay. Interestingly the merry go round trains from the now defunct Point of Ayr colliery used to take coal to the old coal fired Connahs Quay power station. |
