English: The famous temple of Samaya Mai is located in Anandbagh Ward No. 1 of Taulihawa Bazaar, the district headquarters of Kapilvastu district. This temple is located under the shade of a large peepal in a high part of Anandbagh. This Samaya Mai Devi is considered to be about 300 years old. Built on top of ancient ruins, the temple has five obscure black stone statues. There is an elephant at the entrance of the temple and a lion at the entrance. To the right of the temple is the temple of Saraswati. On the left side of the temple is the temple of the Bag Devi Temple and behind the temple is the Kareshwar Shivalinga temple. In front of the temple, a large circular square has been made for the devotees to sit on a large peepal tree. Daily worship is performed in this ancient temple and special worship is performed on Nawaratri, the great festival of Nepalis, Bijayadashami. At that time there is a huge crowd of devotees in this temple. The temple premises are very clean and tidy. A blue signboard of the archeology department of Nepal has also been buried in the temple premises. |
