Deutsch: Die Wellen treten von links durch eine Art natürlichen Einzelspalt in ein größere seichtes Becken rechts ein. Dabei entsteht ein fächerartiges Wellenmuster wie man es von optischen Einzelspaltversuchen oder von Wellenbecken der Physik (ripple tank) her kennt. Das physikalische Phänomen dahinter nennt man Beugung oder auch Diffraktion. Das Bild entstand in den Salzwiesen der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge, etwa auf Höhe des Flugplatzes im östlichen Teil der Insel. Im Hintergrund sieht man das Festland zwischen Schillig und Harlingersiel. |
