| Description |
English: Holiday express from Blackpool to West Hartlepool passing Salwick. View westward, towards Kirkham & Wesham, Blackpool and Fleetwood: ex-LNW & L&Y Preston & Wyre line. One of the constant flow of expresses on a peak Summer Saturday is the 13.05 from Blackpool Central to West Hartlepool. This train ran on only five Saturdays in July and August: combining at Preston with through coaches from Southport to Saltburn, it will run via Accrington, Colne, Skipton, Ilkley, Harrogate, Northallerton and Darlington, due West Hartlepool at 17.45. LMS Hughes/Fowler 5P4F 2-6-0 No. 42717 (built 1927 as No. 13017, withdrawn 10/64) heads a train made up largely of LNER stock. |
