Description
日本語: 臺灣の天日鹽。臺灣に於ける製鹽は安平製鹽會社の煎熬による製鹽以外は天日鹽の製法からなされるものである。廣い鹽田に海水を入れ，直接天日に晒し水分を蒸發せしめ，濃縮結晶せしめる方法である。堤防、水路、大蒸發池、小蒸發池、母液溜、結晶池と云ふ風な構造から成つて居り。圖はその母液溜から鹹水を結晶池に汲み入れて居る處である。この結晶池に汲み入れた鹹水は，やがて析出した食鹽となる。（《日本地理大系．臺灣篇》編輯部）
