Summary

[edit]
Description Road salt causes pavement and curb failures, which are common problem with Vermont bridges. The new bridge design would avoid these problems as part of the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Vtrans to replace the functionally obsolete two lane rural bridge, by using innovative technology for a highly durable, integral abutment bridge with a bare high performance concrete (HPC) deck reinforced with solid stainless steel, and topped with a curbless, deck rail system.
