| Description |
English: Salmon Netting Station, Sands of Forvie Nets are set up and down this coast to catch salmon seeking the entrance to the River Ythan on their way to their spawning grounds upriver. The Sands of Forvie, an area of sand dunes is now a National Nature Reserve of 1,774 acres on account of the many wildfowl breeding here including the largest breeding colony of Eider Duck in the UK. |
