Description
English: This true-color image of Hurricane Sally was captured in the late afternoon on September 15, 2020, at 4:31 P.M. CDT (21:31 UTC), by the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) instrument flying aboard NOAA's GOES 16 satellite, Sally was a slow-moving storm which caused considerable damage along the Gulf Coast in mid-September 2020, it was the eighteenth named storm, seventh hurricane of the record-breaking 2020 Atlantic hurricane season. At the time this was captured, Sally was intensifying off the coast of Alabama as a Category 1 Hurricane with winds of 80 mph (130 km/h) (70 knots) on the 1-min Saffir-Simpson scale and an estimated central pressure of 978 mbar (28.9 inHg).
