| Description | Salinas Peak, near the top on the northeast side, 33.2988 -106.5305, Sierra County, New Mexico, 2 May 2014. Dysphania graveolens, Artemisia dracunculus, Artemisia frigida, Cirsium undulatum, Lappula occidentalis var. occidentalis, Phacelia integrifolia, Robinia neomexicana, Ribes mescalerium, Mentzelia multiflora, Bromus, Elymus arizonicus, Elymus longifolius, Koeleria macrantha, Heuchera rubescens, Glandularia bipinnatifida var. ciliata, etc. Heuchera rubescens is locally abundant at this roadcut in rhyolitic talus (ca. 20 plants within a 5 m radius). Dave Anderson informs me it is also found amidst copses of aspen on the slope below. |
