| Description |
English: Salen Bay Looking south from the head of the narrow inlet, across Loch Sunart to the hills of Morvern beyond. The characteristic floating mats of orange seaweed in these sheltered lochs is a special form of the Knotted Wrack, and has a name of its own - Sea Loch Egg Wrack, or Wig Wrack, Ascophyllum nodosum 'ecad' mackaii. It is found in sheltered sites on the west coast of Scotland and at a few sites in Ireland. |
