Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Saint Peter’s Church, Lo, Belgium. Built in a sober Gothic style, dates back to the 13th century. The east end was originally used as an abbey church, Augustine monks, between 1093 – 1797. The French revolution expelled the monks and the church became the parish church. After WW-I the church had to be rebuilt. The pulpit is of late renaissance style dating back to the first quarter of the 17th century. The baroque high altar is made of wood, its painting makes it look like marble.
