Église Notre-Dame, Saint-Lô, Manche, Normandie, France


English: Two centre panels of the stained glass window of the 18th bay with four lancettes, created c. 1420–1425 with restorations in 1950 by Tournel et Sellier. The donors are presented on these two panels, on the left by St. Catherine and on the right by the Archangel St. Michael. Inscriptions: “COLIN, SON FILS” (left) and “JEHAN LE ROUS ET P[E]ROTE, SA FAME” (right panel). (See pp. 158 in Martine Callias Bey and Véronique David: Les vitraux de Basse-Normandie, ISBN 2-84706-240-8. Note, however, that Bey and David mixup St. Catherine and St. Michael in their description.)
