Summary

Description

Église Notre-Dame, Saint-Lô, Manche, Normandie, France

English: Stained glass window of the 14th bay with three lancettes, consisting of various surviving fragments that were created c. 1472 and c. 1500 and assembled to the current composition c. 1960. The centre lancette displays St. Louis as young man with his royal insignia. The Baptism of Christ is on the left, the right lancette presents a composition of fragments which can be interpreted as arrest of Jesus. The lower sections present more fragments, the left lancette displays the apparition of an angel to Zechariah, the centre depicts donors, on the right John the Baptist is depicted with three executioners.
