English: Posthumous portrait of Saigō Takamori (1828-1877) in uniform by Tokonami Masayoshi. 1887 painting on canvas (181 cm by 103.5 cm). Tokonami was a member of the Satsuma domain and he knew Saigo as an acquaintance. It is said that the face of Saigo drawn by Tokonami is very similar to Saigo's real face.
