Description
English: Olbernhau-Grünthal, historic copperworks.
Deutsch: Saigerhütte Grünthal: Blick über die Grundmauern der 1562 errichteten "Langen Hütte". Hier wurde das Silber aus dem Schwarzkupfer ausgeschmolzen. Die "Lange Hütte" wurde 1952/53 bis auf die Grundmauern abgebrochen und Anfang der 1990er Jahre gesichert und museal aufgearbeitet. Bei den Gebäuden im Hintergrund handelt es sich um (von links) die "Alte Faktorei" (1604 als Wohnhaus für den Hüttenfaktor Hieronymus Eymer erbaut), die "Hüttenschänke" (mit Glockentürmchen, im 16. Jh. als Herrenhaus des Kupferhammes und Wohnhaus des Schichtmeisters erbaut, seit 1568 als Hüttenschänke genutzt), das "Haus des Anrichters" (um 1568 erbautes Wohnhaus des für den Schmelzprozess verantwortlichen Hüttenbeamten) und das "Schichtmeisterhaus" (um 1568 erbautes Wohnhaus des Schichtmeisters).
