Description
English: Norwegian coaster SAETRE (IMO 5045457) built at Schiffswerft Heinrich Brand, Oldenburg/Germany, as LUCIE ECKMANN (yard № 65, launched: 11-1937, delivered: 31-12-1937), used by Kriegsmarine (German Navy) as supply vessel for German forces on occupied Channel Islands in WW2, scuttled St. Malo/France 07-08-1944, raised and repaired 1946, later names: 1946 QUIC EN GROIGNE (FRA), 1955 SAETRE (NOR), 1959 BJAANES (NOR), 1964 MANNES (NOR), 1977 SANDTOR (NOR), deleted from the register 1998/99; collection J. Robert Boman (1926 - 2002), copyright owned by Sjöhistoriska museet.
