Though usually a forest kingfisher, sacred kingfishers will dive for bony bream and other small aquatic creatures in the Burke River.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Though usually a forest kingfisher, sacred kingfishers will dive for bony bream and other small aquatic creatures in the Burke River. This may be due to competition in terrestrial habitats with the red-backed kingfisher and the absence of the azure kingfisher from the river systems of Boulia Shire.
