Summary
[edit]DescriptionSack Scomo - Climate Emergency Bushfires rally Melbourne 10 Jan 2019 - IMG 4902.jpg |
English: Climate Emergency rally in Melbourne on 10 January on the bushfires and climate action calling for Prime Minister Scott Morrison to resign brought tens of thousands together on the Streets of Melbourne, The huge numbers were despite the pouring rain, despite the Premier Dan Andrews and Police Minister Lisa Neville and some political commentators (Barrie Cassidy) saying the time is not right and the protest be deferred. (When is it right to demand climate action if not during a climate disaster?) Facebook said 13k were going, another 32k were interested. The rain may have put some people off from attending, but the numbers were still huge, I suspect 15000 to 20000. |
