Kommentar: Maria Charlotte (1630-1682) war die Gemahlin von Bernhard von Sachsen-Jena (1662-1678) und Tochter des Henri de La Trémouille, Duc de Thouars. 1662 wurde die Ehe geschlossen. 1672 teilte Bernhard mit seinen beiden Brüdern das väterliche Erbe, dabei wurde Sachsen-Jena als eigenständiges Herzogtum von Sachsen-Weimar abgetrennt. Nach dem Tod des Herzogs Bernhard übernahm der erst dreijährige Sohn Johann Wilhelm die Regierung unter Vormundschaft. Der Taler wurde unter Johann Wilhelm (1678-1690), ihrem Sohn, auf den Tod der Mutter geprägt, im Auftrage des Schwagers von Marie, dem Herzog Johann Ernst von Weimar. Johann Wilhelm selbst starb 1690 noch vor Erreichen der Volljährigkeit.
