日本語: 鯖街道は複数ある。マップには、最古の鯖街道といわれる針畑越、近世のメインルートの若狭街道、また近年紹介されている西の鯖街道を示した。また、他の主要街道も記載し、各地とのつながりが見えるようにした。
English: The road connecting Obama on the Sea of Japan and Kyoto. The road was mainly used to transport fish, especially mackerel, and since there was a lot of mackerel on the road, which is why it is called the Mackerel Road. There are several routes along the Mackerel Road. Mackerel Road is marked in red on this map. Other major roads are shown in blue. |
