English: EgyptAir SU-GBE 'El Alamein' Airbus A320-231 c/n 198. We arrive early at Aswan International Airport, 16 km southwest to Aswan, Egypt to board our flight to Abu Simbel to see the two wondrous twin temples that were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BCE, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari and to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh. It was going to be the highlight of our Egyptian adventure. Location: Aswan International Airport, Egypt - World Trip 2005. File: SU-GBE_HESN_20050310_1383 |
