Description
English: STS-45 Atlantis, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 104, lifts off from a Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Launch Complex (LC) Pad at 8:13:40:048 am (Eastern Standard Time (EST)). This profile view taken from a remote camera on the launch tower looks across to OV-104 crew compartment and port side hatch just after the solid rocket booster (SRB) and space shuttle main engine (SSME) ignition. OV-104 atop its external tank (ET) leaves the mobile launcher platform as it begins its ascent.
