Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The passenger liner SS Trinidad of the New York and Bermuda Royal Mail Line of the Quebec Steamship Company in Bermuda, circa 1890. The Trinidad was built in 1884 for the Quebec and Gulf Ports Steamship Co., which was renamed Quebec Steamship Co. in 1880. She was rebuilt in Sunderland, England, in 1893, during which she was lengthened from 270 to 320 feet (the photograph shows her before this rebuild). She was sunk by torpedo in 1918. The boats moored in the foreground are traditional Bermudian working sloops, fitted with the Bermuda rig, and used in a wide variety of roles in local waters.
