Summary
[edit]DescriptionSPARK Museum of Electrical Invention - interior 65 - Pointer-Dial Philharmonic Console Radio Model 20A - E.H. Scott Radio Laboratories, Inc., Chicago, 1937.jpg |
English: Pointer-Dial Philharmonic Console Radio Model 20A - E.H. Scott Radio Laboratories, Inc., Chicago, 1937, SPARK Museum of Electrical Invention, Bellingham, Washington, U.S. This was, quite likely, the most complex consumer radio of the period - with 30 tubes [1]. The price of $275 for the chassis alone does not seem exorbitant today, but it certainly was in 1937. The chassis with chrome-plated tube screens and capacitors is mounted open behind the wooden dial stand. |
