[edit]DescriptionSP-2H Neptune 201 (15980061844).jpg |
The Dutch Navy had a total of 19 Lockheed SP-2H (P2V-7) Neptunes between 1961 and 1982. 201 looking ready for take-off on the short runway 17 (although the jet intakes are closed). This runway was only used for taxiing, but I think the main runway 06-24 was out for resurfacing at the time. This Neptune was saved from the axe and is preserved at the new Military Museum at Soesterberg. Scanned photo. |
