Title
SOM-CDC496: Mesolithic to early Neolithic microburin
Description
English: A probable flint microburin of Mesolithic to early Neolithic date. A long, fairly thin tertiary flake, removed using a hard hammer. To the left side (when viewed from the dorsal face), at the distal end, there is a small notch. This may be the result of accidental or post-depositional damage, but is a typical feature of microburins, where a notch is deliberately created to allow the microlith to be snapped away. The flint is light buff-grey in colour.

Length: 16.17mm, Width: 10.94mm, Thickness: 3.28mm, Weight: 0.53g
